LiSA (an acronym for Love is Same All), aka Risa Oribe, is a celebrated Japanese singer and songwriter known for her explosive pop rock vocals and dynamic stage presence. She first gained attention as the singing voice of Yui in the anime Angel Beats! in 2010, and quickly rose to prominence with a solo debut the following year. Her unique blend of rock, pop, and anime soundtracks has made her a standout figure in Japan’s music scene. Her music is most famously featured in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — with her hit “Gurenge” becoming a cultural phenomenon and one of the most downloaded songs in Japanese history. In 2020, LiSA achieved a major milestone when “Homura,” the theme for Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, topped charts and earned her multiple awards, including a Japan Record Award. She also recorded the theme song for the Japanese version of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. LiSA continues to be one of Japan’s most influential pop punk artists, known for bridging the gap between mainstream music and anime culture.

Last week, LiSA brought her Another Great Day North American Tour to LA’s YouTube Theater for a highly anticipated sold out show. Fans of all ages piled into the venue, filling their seats early on awaiting the moment to see the one and only LiSA. Many donned VIP lanyards from the prior meet-n-greet and soundcheck experience — one of the notable highlights offered to fans on this tour.

Kicking off the show with “Oath Sign,” LiSA emerged on stage with her full live band in a sea of beautiful, vibrant lighting that illuminated every row from front to back. Backed by her live band, LiSA kept the momentum high with upbeat songs, playful banter, and her infectious smile that couldn’t help but to make us smile, too. Throughout the night, LiSA bounced across the stage, engaging with fans and her bandmates with her genuine and free spirit. Her chemistry with the audience was undeniable — she made the entire room feel like one big celebration. Performing an array of songs both old and new, LiSA kept her fans on the edge of their seats. Some highlights included: “WiLD CANDY,” “Homura,” “QUEEN,” and an encore featuring “Crossing Field” and “Best Day, Best Way.”

Overall, the night was a dazzling production full of nonstop joy that had fans oozing with endearment and happiness. LiSA’s live show is packed full of fun and authenticity. Her radiant disposition shines through performance effortlessly. Though the tour was just a short few dates, we’d love to see LiSA return to the United States again for a more extensive run in the future!
