All Time Low brought their Everyone’s Talking! tour to the Arizona Financial Theatre last October 23rd, with strong support from opening acts The Paradox, The Cab, and Mayday Parade. From their early days as a pop-punk band from Towson, Maryland, the band has grown into a more polished yet still energetic live act. The tour, which promotes their upcoming new album of the same name, felt like a celebration of both their earlier hits and the next chapter of their sound. The Paradox warmed up the crowd with raw stage presence and earnest lyrics, The Cab delivered tight musicianship and catchy choruses, and Mayday Parade tapped into emo-pop flair that set the mood perfectly before the headliners.

Once All Time Low showed up, the stage got filled with the colors red, blue, yellow, and green, which are the theme colors of their latest project and their tour. The stage was like it was straight out of a Super Mario set filled with primary colors, which added more cohesion to their album. The crowd’s energy was the best part of the show, as they never failed to sing along to every song, old and new. The setlist leaned on fan favorites like “Weightless” and “Damned If I Do Ya,” while also mixing newer tracks such as their lead single “SUCKERPUNCH.” Alex Gaskarth mentioned multiple times how he loved the energy of the Phoenix crowd inside the venue, which never dipped, proving it was a perfect audience for them and how Arizona has always shown love to them throughout the years.

For the encore, All Time Low returned for the best finish possible, playing “The Weather,” “Lost In The Stereo,” and closing out with the irresistible “Dear Maria, Count Me In.” With remaining tour dates across the U.S. and plans for later stops overseas (anticipating a Europe leg next year), this show felt like both a milestone and a teaser of what’s to come. Personally, what I enjoyed most was the way the band balanced nostalgia and progression: you got the hits you’ve waited years for, but they also showcased the band’s new sound and ambitious stage production. Whether you’re an elder emo or a new All Time Low listener, this is the type of live music that you don’t want to miss.
