The Devil Wears Prada Hits Riverside Hard on Flowers Spring Tour 2026

Catching The Devil Wears Prada on their Flowers Spring Tour ’26 — celebrating the release of their latest album Flowers — at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium on March 20th felt like diving head first into a night already in full swing.

This one was a full-on mission to pull off. My day started at 4am, straight into a full shift at work, followed by a two and a half hour drive out to Riverside. From there, it was straight into shooting, straight into the pit, and eventually another two and a half hour drive back home — landing just enough time for about two hours of sleep before the alarm went off again at 4am the next morning. Exhausting, sure, but easily the kind of run that ends up meaning the most when looking back on it.

During the peak of the scene, TDWP wasn’t fully on my radar — more like radar-adjacent. That changed sometime in my 20’s, and was completely solidified in 2024 at When We Were Young, where I caught their full playthrough of Plagues for the first time, and it completely blew my mind. From that point on, I knew I needed to see them again — and more than that, I wanted to be in the room to actually capture that energy. Missing their 2025 run due illness only made this one feel even more overdue.

The long drive meant missing opening sets from I Promised The World and Split Chain, unfortunately, but by the time Four Year Strong hit the stage, the room was more than primed and ready. The crowd was loud, loose, and already moving — setting the tone for what the rest of the night would become.

Typically, I’m glued to my notes when covering a show, but not this time. Being the first one of the year — and one I had been waiting on for a while — the excitement took over pretty quickly. After wrapping up photos, I ditched the sidelines and made my way straight into the pit — no hesitation.

From there, it truly never let up.

Opening with “Where the Flowers Never Grow,” TDWP wasted no time locking everyone in, quickly followed by “Danger: Wildman,” which sent the pit into overdrive. Just before “Everybody Knows,” Jeremy DePoyster hyped the crowd with, “It’s Friday night, we’re gonna party tonight. I’m gonna party tonight, are you gonna party tonight?” — earning an instant roar — before adding, “This song is about partying too hard… it’s called “Everybody Knows.”

Later in the set, “Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over” brought a wave of chaos that longtime fans clearly came ready for, and understandably so, while “Chemical” and “Sacrifice” pushed things toward a massive finish. The encore doubled down on that energy, with “Assistant to the Regional Manager” and “Hey John, What’s Your Name Again?” closing the night in exactly the kind of explosive, nostalgic fashion the crowd was hoping for.

Beyond the music, the band made it clear how much Southern California means to them. Both Mike Hranica and Jeremy DePoyster took moments throughout the set to shout out the crowd, mentioning their Dayton, Ohio roots and how some of the biggest pits they see are right here in SoCal. On this night, Riverside absolutely proved that point.

Production-wise, the show kept things sharp without feeling overdone — bursts from CO₂ cannons punched through key moments, while waves of brilliant orange lighting washed over the stage, giving the entire set a warm but aggressive glow that matched the tone of Flowers perfectly.

The venue itself added to it all. The Riverside Municipal Auditorium carried a laid-back, rather intimate vibe that made the night feel even more connected — like everyone in the room was part of the same pulse.

Even with missing the first half of the lineup, the night never felt incomplete. If anything, walking into a room already in motion made the experience hit harder. By the end, it was clear that this stop on the tour would be standout — it was a crowd ready to meet the band at full volume, and a band more than willing to match it.
