Taylor Acorn Proves She’s a Real “People Pleaser” During Haarlem Show

For the second time this year, Taylor Acorn makes her way through Europe. After playing in support of All Time Low on their European leg in January, it’s now time for her own headlining tour on the Poster Child UK&EU tour. Her sophomore record by the same name dropped in October 2025, which means her fans have had plenty of time to learn the record by heart by now. On April 28, the tour brought her to the Patronaat in Haarlem, the Netherlands, along with support act wilt.

The Los Angeles based band wilt also joined the Nashville artist on her fall 2025 North America tour, proving the two acts are a match made in heaven even before they take the stage. The supporting band is five people strong, which makes for quite a crowded stage, but the interaction between all the different band members make it all the more fun to watch. Sonically they remind of a couple of different grunge and rock acts, with The Cranberries during “Gwen,” vocalist Chelsea Rifkin feeling like a mix of Courtney Love and Gwen Stefani and a sneaky Weezer sample played in their song “you’re the one to blame.” The t.A.T.u. cover of “All The Things She Said” about halfway through their set makes the crowd loosen up the most. It’s noticeable already filled up pretty nicely, Taylor’s fans clearly appreciating wilt’s efforts just as much. The band members themselves are feeding off the crowd’s energy as well, with guitarist Aaron Liebman getting so carried away in all the fun, he jumps off the drum kit platform and ends up on the floor with a very gracious fall on his bum. If anything, it’s proof of how the band and the crowd matched each other’s energy.

With her debut stemming from September 2024, Taylor Acorn had a very productive couple of years. It’s no wonder she’s feeling a bit under the weather, taking the world by storm for the last couple of years with non-stop new releases and tours. Even halfway through this tour, she released a cover of Alanis Morissette’s “Not The Doctor” for the upcoming movie Mile End Kicks, proof she’s not one to waste any time. She starts her set strong tonight, opening with the title track “Poster Child” and “People Pleaser” off her newest full-length. If she hadn’t mentioned she’s been suffering from a bad flu for the last couple of days, you wouldn’t even be able to tell. She moves around from corner to corner, belting through most of the higher notes with ease, supported by the crowd singing along to every word as loud as they can. Unfortunately for Haarlem, this does mean she has to skip a couple of the songs she usually plays (skipping “Burning House” and “Hangman”), and some of the more difficult notes get changed up a little, but that doesn’t mean the singer doesn’t still give the fans everything she has in her to make it a memorable night. Even when she can’t give it the complete 100%, her vocals remain as strong as ever.

Her emotionally raw music strikes a chord with her fans, giving both the artist and the fans the room to feel free and vulnerable. While obviously also influenced greatly by pop-punk artists like Mayday Parade and Avril Lavigne, her lyrics feature so many authentic and emotional stories, it reminds of the other well-known Taylor. Throughout the show, Acorn looks out over the crowd a couple of times and you can clearly see how much she appreciates every single one of her fans, really taking it all in and thanking them for singing along as loud as they do. Even with the newer and slower songs like “Cheap Dopamine” and “Home Videos,” which she dedicated to her late father, the crowd sings her words back to her with just as much vigor. She opens up about reminiscing a lot about her childhood lately, especially in current times, which is something we can all relate to right now. It’s things like this that make it clear why everyone connects with her authenticity and her music as much.

With the more acoustic songs getting the crowd waving along their flashlights as well, the show ends on a more upbeat note, with the banger “Psycho” even getting a small mosh-pit on the floor. Before the charismatic woman leaves the stage for real, she looks out over the completely filled room, people standing all over the stairs up to the balcony, and the feeling of appreciation is more than mutual. There’s still almost two more weeks of tour to go for Taylor, ending the tour on May 11 in Antwerp. Limited tickets for some of the dates in Germany, Czechia, Austria and France as well as the Belgium date are available through https://www.tayloracorn.com/. If you don’t want to miss out, grab them as soon as you can, as they are selling out as we speak!
