Festival season is in full swing, but some of the best festivals are yet to come. One of those is Pukkelpop in Belgium, which will take place from August 14th till August 17th. These four days are filled up with artists from all over the world, but also covering all genres from Pop to Metal.
The first Pukkelpop was held back in 1985 as a small festival, but has grown out to a staple of the scene with 66.000 visitors each day. Their 38th edition will be none less than earlier years, with Chappel Roan, A$AP Rocky and Queens of the Stone Age as headliners.
Apart from the headliners there are plenty of smaller bands and artists that are sure to bring you a great time.The Linda Lindas, STONE, Nieve Ella and Slow Crush are a few of those you should not miss out on. The line-up also features some local heroes from both Belgium and The Netherlands, like Roxy Dekker, Pommelien Thijs, Kraantje Pappie and of course Joost.
Apart from watching performances, there is plenty to do at the festival grounds. You can walk around on Boulevard Bizar, a kilometer filled with entertainment. From local market stalls to performance arts, you will not be bored for one second. From all the dancing and headbanging you’re sure to get hungry and no matter your dietary preferences, Pukkelpop has you covered in their Food Wood. From vegetarian to gluten free, there will be something for everyone to refuel their energy.
There are only day tickets for the Sunday left on the festival site, but even for one day it is definitely worth it to go.
