The Central Florida Pop Rock powerhouse Pretty Pity have just released their third single “IDK (idk)” less than a year after their EP Done Waiting (2025). Quickly becoming a name to know, the band has been turning heads with a sound that borrows from metal, punk, and classic rock all while landing as an unbelievably catchy pop record.
The quintet’s musical influences are incredibly varied and they all show up uniquely in their music. Their high-octane pop rock blends seamlessly heavy guitars with catchy vocal melodies, bouncy bass lines and hyper-compressed drums reminiscing of golden-age pop punk. With Pretty Pity, every song feels distinct while it sounds uniquely like them.

Breaking onto the scene this year, vocalist Tani Jade shares:
“Our new single, IDK (idk), is an anthem for those who fear commitment and only find comfort in validation from others. I wrote these lyrics about being in a self destructive phase where instant gratification takes over; getting lost in the moment and craving the feeling of being wanted by everyone around you, yet fearing they’ll change their minds if they dug any deeper.
This summer we’ll be playing the biggest shows of our career and our first major festival, Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 2nd. We’re so excited to share the stage with bands like All Time Low, Kenny Hoopla, and Girlfriends at the event, it’s truly a dream come true.
We’re kicking off our run to Summerfest by joining the Summer School Tour w/ Honey Revenge, Winona Fighter, and South Arcade at House Of Blues in Orlando on June 26th. We also just announced dates around the festival AND we’ll be out supporting Royale Lynn in August! We are beyond grateful for the growing fanbase that has pushed us to grow as artists and set higher goals with every tour and release.”
“IDK (idk)” is an immediate banger. A quick build up sees Tani Jade singing the first stanza just before bursting in a charged refrain with catchy vocalisations perfect for any audience to sing along. The dynamic pacing of the song alternates between more airy and drum-heavy verses and tight guitar-driven choruses.
The bridge, reminiscent of Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” and Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend” was a very pleasant surprise, just as much as it was to witness Tani Jade’s vocal range in the post-bridge chorus.
Everything about this song is just right, the sounds, the hooks and the refrains. “IDK (idk)” is a solid statement: powerful, explosive and fun and it’s impossible not to get up and sing and dance to it.
