Indie-favorites Portugal. The Man took over Terminal 5 in New York City on Wednesday, December 3rd. Supported by La Luz, the self-described “surf noir” quartet from California, the band made their second stop in New York on their Denali Tour.

In support of their tour which follows the release of their 10th studio album SHISH just last month, the band rocked the three-story cavernous venue with the vibrant sounds of that new album. Their nearly two-hour performance was marked with the sights and sounds of their thematic new album, including singles “Denali,” “Tanana,” and “Mush,” as well as Gourley’s deep expressions of gratitude to the audience, the crew, and those who showed support for the bands’ promoted causes.

The American rock band heralding from Wasilla, Alaska but based in Portland, Oregon currently consists of founding member John Gourley and Zoe Manville, with the couple joined by a large group of touring musicians. They soared to new heights nearly a decade ago with the release of Woodstock, their certified platinum album memorialized by the downright infectious single “Feel It Still” which earned them a GRAMMY for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.”

Portugal. The Man has certainly established themselves as a true phenomenon when it comes to their live performances, marking over 1,000 shows and many festival appearances over the years while promoting social justice causes close to them. Be sure to catch Portugal. The Man on their remaining North America tour dates through the end of the year, and on the European leg between February and March 2026.
