Kilby Block Party 2026 Reveal: A Success of Festival Independence

Kilby Block Party returns May 15-17 for its 7th year as a festival, and 27th year of Kilby Court. The largest indie music festival in Salt Lake City is once again pressing on towards another triumphant season of community and giving back to local organizations. Of course, everyone in attendance will also have the opportunity to see some incredible artists from all over the world.

The Headliners for the weekend are the incredible acts of Turnstile (Friday), The XX (Saturday), and Lorde (Sunday). While these are household names, the support behind them is what I find most impressive. In the world of my fandom, Hayley Williams shines with amazing solo work over the last year, and while some may only know her as “Miss Paramore,” I can say with full confidence it will be a set worth every moment! Additionally you can expect amazing work from the ethereal, and quickly rising stars of Magdalena Bay.  Lucy Dacus, Alex G, Japanese Breakfast, and so so many more are sure to make this an incredible experience for all who make the trip out to Salt Lake City.

Kilby also has looked to make improvements to their festival this year with the additional usage of the Days of ’47 arena for smaller acts. This, alongside some alterations to stage positioning, is expected to reduce audio bleed from stage to stage and enhance the listening experience no matter which artist you look to attend. Between the community and the festival’s ability to adapt and listen to their attendees, it is no surprise that Kilby has quickly become one of the largest independent festivals in the country.
