Another highly anticipated year of Oceans Calling Returns September 26-28 to the wonderful Ocean City, MD. The fest brings together a variety of indie/rock, classic and modern, with artists including Green Day, Noah Kahan, and Fall Out Boy among more than 40 total performances over the the three day festival. If you are unsure about what to see, there are so many 90s and 2000s favorites through the weekend. From Maryland natives Good Charlotte, to Train, to my favorite “Teenage Dirtbags” in Wheatus. Not to mention it is built within the Ocean City boardwalk, giving attendees an opportunity for visitors to check out some of the local food and entertainment which is situated inside the festival grounds.

Hungry? Don’t worry, this festival has some good food with the return of renowned chefs including Robert Irvine, Michael Voltaggio, Bryan Voltaggio, and Jason Biggs who will be hosting cooking demos throughout the weekend. Then find your way over to Jolly Rogers Amusement Park, which is located on the festival grounds — ENTRY INCLUDED in your Oceans Calling experience! If you find a gap in your schedule you can take the time to get an amazing view at the top of the ferris wheel! As for local business, a personal favorite shop of mine is Kohrs Bros, where you can get one of the best orange vanilla twist soft serve ice creams you will ever have. Finally for the really adventurous, stop down and get a “omg we did a festival” tattoo at a number of the shops also on the grounds. In any case, there is a lot to do no matter what is going on during the day.
