Eager Chicagoans came out to the legendary House of Blues on a brisk, chilly Chicago night to catch one of the best rock bands to come out of England, Don Broco. Don Broco invaded the US for their 2025/2026 North America Tour. Opening up the night and joing them for the tour were Sace6 and Capstan.
Don Broco lit up the House of Blues on October 24th with one of the most entertaining, high-energy sets I’ve seen in a long time. From the second they opened with “Everybody,” the place was jumping. For the first time ever, I had a hard time trying to get my camera to focus with how much the floor was shaking. Rob Damiani had the crowd in the palm of his hand, pacing the stage with that perfect mix of confidence and chaos. The floor was shaking the entire night as people jumped in rhythm, and it didn’t take long for the whole room to turn into one big, sweaty sing-along. The energy hit immediately and never really let up.

Recently released Mid-set, songs like “Disappear,” “Cellophane,” and “Hype Man” showed off how good this band is at blending heavy riffs while branching off to this nu-metal sound. Then you had the classics like “Gumshield” and “Bruce Willis” hit like a freight train. Those guitar tones and punchy drums made it impossible to stand still. The band looked like they were having just as much fun as the crowd, constantly smiling, joking around, and feeding off the chaos in front of them. It’s rare to see that much personality in a band that still plays this tight live.

By the time “One True Prince” rolled around, the night had shifted into full sing-your-lungs-out mode. Damiani’s and Donelly’s vocals hit perfectly, and the whole band sounded massive for a venue that intimate. The crowd didn’t just watch they were part of it, echoing every word back at the stage. Don Broco is probably one of the most fun live bands I’ve ever seen as the band gushes energy and performance into every song.

When they came back out for “Fingernails” and “T-shirt Song” it was pure chaos again… people screaming, jumping, smiling, and waiving t-shirts, that’s become a staple for the final song, like it was the best night of their lives. It’s one of those shows that reminds you why you go see live music in the first place. No gimmicks, no filler, just a band giving everything they’ve got and a crowd that matched them beat for beat.
Don Broco didn’t just play a show in Chicago, they owned it.
