Chicago native Ally Nicholas returned home on June 21 for a packed show at Schubas Tavern as part of her The Nevermind the Hurry Tour. Known for blending grunge, indie, and alternative rock, Ally Nicholas has continued to build momentum behind her debut EP Nevermind the Hurry. Opening the night were Shyeye and Sir Echo, who both delivered strong sets that got the crowd warmed up before the hometown headliner took the stage.

Nicholas wasted no time bringing the energy, filling the room with heavy guitars, raw vocals, and plenty of emotion. The sold out crowd sang along to songs like “Red,” “Fall Into,” “Whisper,” “Seventeen,” and “I Know You Too Well.” Being back in Chicago, with her family in attendance as she called them out between sets, added another level to the performance.

The night, and tour, wrapped up with one final thank you and a loud ovation that made it clear the feeling was mutual. With more U.S. dates still ahead this summer, while she opens for hardcore-emo giants Silverstein, fans around the country still have plenty of chances to catch Ally Nicholas live.
