Aussie singer-songwriter Peach PRC made the journey from down under to Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg for a fun night filled with great vibes and great music. Before Peach went on, we heard some songs from singer Madelline to get the energy up before Peach took the stage right at 9 o’clock alongside her guitarist Chloe Dadd.

The show kicked off with “Perfect For You” off her EP Manic Dream Pixie. Though the lack of a full-length album made the setlist a bit shorter, it didn’t take away from any of the energy of the set. Next up was “Blondes,” her debut single from 2019. She introduced the following song, “Colourblind,” by talking about how it was an old song that she doesn’t really play live anymore, but that she wanted to give her fans outside of Australia the chance to hear it live since she hasn’t toured in the US very often.

Peach kept the energy up with a bunch of fast-paced songs until about halfway through the set, where she took the time to slow it down right after finishing up her latest single “Sweet n’ Low,” released this past summer. She brought out the Omnicord for a stripped down version of “Loved You Before,” my personal favorite and a song that worked perfectly in this reimagined way. Peach kicked it right back into high gear though with the next song, starting off the lesbian anthem “Like A Girl Does” with an extended pole dancing intro. She finished up the set with a few more of her popular songs, including her debut single with a major label, “Josh,” “Forever Drunk,” and the TikTok-viral “God Is A Freak” to close out the set.

The last time I saw Peach, she was fully leaning into the pink aesthetic with a full pink outfit and long pink hair, but her latest look has her returning to her natural brown hair, which paired perfectly with the flowy, sparkly outfit she chose to wear for this show. Fans leaned into the aesthetic too, with many in costume with fairy wings and other items to match the pixie theme. A Peach PRC show is the perfect safe space for fans from all walks of life and especially those part of the LGBTQ community. I’m always looking forward to seeing her, and hopefully she comes around again soon!
