San Pedro is on the verge of an entertainment revival with the forthcoming grand opening of Warehouse 9 Bar. The 26,000-square-foot complex, formerly the home of the popular Brouwerij West, will have a soft opening on January 15th ahead of its full-scale opening on February 1st. That means the public can get an early taste of Warehouse 9’s stellar lineup of craft beers from Southern California top breweries:

Beechwood — Long Beach, CA
Boom Town — Los Angeles, CA
Bottle Logic — Anaheim, CA
Burning Daylight — Lomita, CA
Common Space — Hawthorne, CA
Hop Saint — Torrance, CA
LA Aleworks — Hawthorne, CA
Pizza Port — Solana Beach, CA
Smog City — Torrance, CA
Trademark — Long Beach, CA

Additionally, these non-alcoholic beers are on tap:

Figueroa Mountain — Westlake Village, CA — Blond Ale
Three Weavers — Inglewood, CA — Lager

Hanging out is exactly what Warehouse 9 is all about, and the owners and staff invite you to join them at their grand opening on Feb 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring San Pedro-based bands Warehouse One and Killer Dreamer and Ivy League Suit on the bill. Warehouse One is Cali Reggae with low-key fun and San Pedro vibes. Killer Dreamer represents the punk rock scene San Pedro is known for, and Ivy League Suit meshes angry punk sounds with soaring melodies in a musical experience that is all rips and no skips. And San Pedro’s very own DJ Wix will spin throughout the evening. It’s a FREE show for ALL AGES with FREE parking, and the bar is dog friendly.

Next door on the property, CRAFTED will be open to explore with activations from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and more than 90 vendors inside Warehouse 10, including local artists and walk-up workshops every weekend. Food vendors secured so far are San Pedro favorite Miller Butler, serving fresh and innovative wood-fired pizzas, and Long Beach fan favorite Shady Grove Foods (BBQ). San Pedro-based screen printer Calimucho will be live printing Warehouse 9 gear, and the event will offer a few activities such as facepainting and creative activities for children. Don’t miss this unforgettable day of community vibes, live music, and good times under the San Pedro sky!

The can-pour menu features Town Cider in Corvallis, OR, Ashland Hard Seltzer in San Diego, CA, and Hard Kombucha from Boochcraft in Chula Vista, CA. Please note, the menu is subject to change at any time. Please visit Warehouse 9 Bar’s official website for full on-tap and can-pour menus. Download the current menu on the app “Untappd” for a current selection of offerings in house and beers and specialty breweries — drink onsite or at home.

Warehouse 9 has a certified cicerone on staff who will be available for guests to engage with and curate beer offerings for the entire bar. Down the road, WH9 Bar will expand the taps from 14 to 28 and add international and domestic beers, as well as non-alcoholic cocktails and pale ale, lager, and blond beers. King Trivia will be making its debut on Wednesdays (Feb. 4), and Karaoke on Thursdays with DJ Wix.

“We know people love hanging out at this unique location, and it’s important to us to continue serving San Pedro in this way. We’ve rehired the BW staff and managers, so the community will recognize some familiar faces behind the bar and throughout the venue. Your support means the world to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you in for a drink.” — Oron Kotlizky, Warehouse 9 owner

With renovations of the former Port of Los Angeles warehouse (built by the U.S. Navy during World War II) now completed, the time has come for the Warehouse 9 teams to make the complex the L.A. neighborhood’s premier all-ages, indoor-outdoor venue for great food and drinks, plus live music, karaoke nights and special events. Like BW before it, Warehouse 9 will partner with MBF Productions to ensure that top-shelf entertainment options fill the calendar throughout the year.

For the time being, Warehouse 9 is open 4-10 p.m. on Wednesdays, 4-11 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, noon-11 p.m. on Saturdays and noon-10 p.m. on Sundays. CRAFTED San Pedro is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
