UPSAHL Hypes Up San Diego With Fun and Confident Energy

UPSAHL kicked off Madison Beer’s “The Spinnin’ Tour” with a bang at SOMA in San Diego on June 12. Who is she? Hailed by SPIN as “one of the most exciting new voices in music right now,” alternative pop singer-songwriter UPSAHL proved a teenage sensation in her native Arizona and quickly rose to national attention in 2019. You may have heard her top trending hits on TikTok “People I Don’t Like” or “DRUGS.” She’s also grabbed the attention of Universal Music Publishing to co-write hits for stars like Dua Lipa, Demi Lovato and tour mate Madison Beer.

As she took the stage, UPSAHL was greeted with a full house in attendance and fans eager for her set. After a soft, genuine greeting, UPSAHL and her two bandmates burst into her debut title track “Lady Jesus,” followed by the catchy “Good Girl Era.” The audience was engaged every step of the way as the pop-start strutted from one end of the stage to another, followed up by a classic guitar and mic moment. A single spotlight made the sold out crowd seem so small and intimate. To round it off, she gave a moment of true closeness as she sat, legs swinging off center stage, and belted out “Sad Sorry After Party.” As her set concluded; the audience was loud, chatting, totally in awe of the performance.

UPSAHL will be performing across Europe with a run of headlining shows and festival sets this August including FM4 Frequency 2024 in Austria and Feelings 2024 in Norway. Check out our gallery below from her show!
