Aminé filled the Arizona Financial Theater with hip-hop heads eager for him to show up on stage, as they’ve been waiting for him to do another show in the valley for almost four years now. The Oregon rapper finally added Phoenix to his current tour all over the US for his Tour De Dance 2025, which happened last September 25th, to treat his fans with a 27-track setlist from all of his discography.

The night started with a boppy mix of songs as DJ Lido opened for Aminé. He kept everybody warmed up for almost an hour of his set with a mix of songs from different artists, old and new, with clever transitions and on-point song switches. It was followed by another DJ set delivered by Madison LST, one of Aminé’s closest friends and co-collaborators since the beginning of his career — playing hits from Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Soulja Boy, Sexyy Red, and more, which heavily turned up all the attendees of the show.

After the electrifying DJ sets, everyone was ready for Aminé to show up, but no one was ready for his stage production. The moment he stepped foot on the stage was the moment his huge three-sided panels turned on with designs anchored to his recent album, 13 Months Of Sunshine. It’s like he is performing inside a box with visualizers for every song, which is just clever. You can tell his Phoenix fans had been waiting for a long time for him to perform in Arizona. The energy, plus them singing to every word, was just glorious to see, with his setlist meticulously curated with tracks like “Spice Girl,” “Yellow,” “Reel It In,” and more.

One of the highlights of his show is when they started to pick somebody from the crowd to sign his “tour pants,” a pair of pants with patches from every city his tour visits, and he asks one fan from the crowd to sign it. This time in Phoenix, the fan they picked wasn’t just a regular fan; it was the fan that accidentally helped him create his famous signature. Aminé then happily shared the backstory of it. He told everyone that this guy asked to sign his arm, and as he looked at it, he realized that the sign he just did was so perfect, they used it officially in all of his merch and his promos.

Aminé ended his show with the tracks “Caroline,” his biggest hit to date from his album Good For You, and “Arc de Triomphe,” his hit song from his latest album. By the time he exited the stage, the applause felt less like an afterthought and more like an insistence that this night not end. As he left, the theater remained alight with aftershocks and chants from fans. In Phoenix, Tour de Dance didn’t just touch down; it landed heavy, leaving everyone present convinced they hadn’t merely watched a show but been a part of one.
