It may have not been the “Beaches of Biloxi,” but the beaches of Morro Bay are no strangers to Silverada. The Siren in Morro Bay, California welcome back again one of fans favorite honky tonk bands to get wild on a Wednesday night on their Unlit Matches tour. Silverada’s tour is in full swing for the summer and along with some shows here on the central coast is Taylor Hunnicutt. This was my first time seeing Taylor live but it can be heard and seen the passion along with a little bit of attitude she got that goes a long way for making an entertaining show. Alabama native has a powerful old school southern country rock sound that was fit to get the crowd warmed up for the night.

Silverada has played this bar a handful of times with every time the band having a blast and interactions involving many drinks. Energy seems to flow from off the stage into the crowd as the night starts off with the song “Wallflower” off their most recent album. After a few songs we get to a crowd favorite where bass player Omar gets them to join in the double clap for “Beaches of Biloxi” you know if you’ve been to a show. We got a good mix of new and old hit but things cranked up halfway through with “Anywhere But Here” soon after they even got the tour manager to come out and sing a song. It could be seen these guys were out to set out to have a good time this tour.

“You Look Good In Neon” feels like a perfect fit for this bar venue as you sit under a large Happy Jacks neon sign and the song could be how the night ends for a few. Four song follow before we get to the encore of the night which also happens to be off the newest self-titled album “Silverada” the song “Radio Wave” is last to be heard before the band calls it a night. All in all it was another great show here in Morro Bay at The Siren we look forward to them returning in the future. As for the rest of you out there who love country music there is plenty of time to catch these guys in a town or city near you this summer.’
