On a Thursday night in downtown San Luis Obispo, people gather to enjoy the local farmers market night while the country music fans line up at The Fremont Theater for the return of Pricillia Block. Her Things You Didn’t See tour had Priscilla smiling all night as she returned to the stage. Her current tour is promoting her newly released album also titled Things You Didn’t See. She has also brought along Clayton Mullen as an opener. With a crowd age raging from kids to the old, this young and inspiring songwriter/artist Clayton Mullen opened the show. The “Varsity Blues” singer brought his fresh upbeat radio country sound that caught the attention of college town folks and younger ones — so I am sure he will have further success with his music.

The Fremont Theater stage is set for Priscilla Block with small high rise stage for the drummer and bass players to be set up on along with some block lighting structures in the back then open stage area for the guitar players and Priscilla to roam around. Back in 2024 when Priscilla Block was here last time, it was a high energy and party mode this time around to fit the new songs it was more of an intimate show with storytelling to the new tracks. There were also a few previous hits fans knew of along with covers. The first three songs of the night were “Things You Didn’t See,” “Try” and “My Bar.” After a few tracks, Priscilla sat down on the stage steps and did a talented stripped-down cover of “Birds Of a Feather” by Billie Eilish. Then she played her most recent hit you’ve heard on the radio “Couldn’t Care Less.”

She then took a moment to speak about love as she hands out roses to the crowd — how she has found love with her man Elijah. Surely enough, the band then begins to play a song titled “Elijah.” Later, Clayton Mullen joined Priscilla onstage to perform “You, Me, And Whiskey” — singing Justin Moore’s part. Of course, a big fan favorite “Just About Over You” came in towards the end of the set followed by a new song “Yard Sale.” Priscilla gave away some merch to lucky fans in the crowd before walking off the stage to close out a memorable night — or so we thought.

Turns out the night is not quite over yet for country fans, fortunate enough to hear three more encore songs: “Off The Deep End,” “Time Ain’t A Two Lane,” and then wrapping it up with “Good On You.” Overall, this was a fun and energetic, feel-good show. When an artist’s career is still taking off, I personally enjoy hearing all the new tracks live… because later down the road, as the hits pile up — those great songs from the beginning slowly are taken off the set list. This is only the start of the second half of her tour, so there is time for you to catch a show!
