The “Gold Chain Cowboy” Parker McCollum headed west to preformed at Selland Arena in Fresno, California on August 14th, 2025. McCollum is out promoting his new self-titled album Parker McCollum — his fifth studio album, with eight of those tracks making the set list for the night. Warming up the crowd first was newcomer from Georgia — a young man named Vincent Mason. With his most known song “Hell Is A Dance Floor” there was more than a few of his fans who showed up early to catch his set.
Up next is an artist I got the chance to see play a couple years ago in a little dive bar — now playing arenas — Ashley Cooke. The “Your Place” singer is making her place in country music with her songs that many could relate to in life and with a great live stage performance. Ashley and her band are full energy people using all the space the stage has to offer. Early on in her set she had to pause to break up a fight going on seeming to be due to the alcohol being slipped. She is definitely an artist that should be on your list to check out if you haven’t already.

Alright, now on to the one everyone has filled the Selland Arena to see: Parker McCollum. Stage is dark, only being illuminated by a screen playing a western style film opening credits introducing the band members like the cast in a movie. Just as his new album starts off with “My Blue” so begins the sensational journey of the night. Then again with a taste of the new album, is track #2 called “Big Sky.”

There were great colors and lighting throughout the songs and visuals on display choreographed to each track. Parker and the boys took it back to their 2015 hit “Meet You In The Middle” then into few other previous fan favorites. There were an considerable number of tracks from the new album to make the set list for the fans to enjoy and maybe hear for the first time. Apart from having to stop once again due to a fight, there were a lot of good memorable moments made between Parker and the fans among the front of the barricade. Some fans got their homemade signs autographed, one fan even traded Parker a strawberry Uncrustable sandwich for him to take a selfie with their phone.

As the night rolled on, hits like “Hell of A Year,” “Handle On You,” “Burn It Down” and “Pretty Heart.” This tour is really out to promote the “Parker McCollum” album seeing as how the last song off it “My Worst Enemy” is also how he closes out the show. There are still plenty of dates left on the tour for you to catch a show in a town near you. Parker McCollum is a fast-rising country artist who is bound to make a outstanding career. With this large fan base, it’s best you join now or continue to support by purchasing a ticket for a concert. As much as I like his later hits it was truly memorable to hear the new stuff as you never know they may become “Solid Country Gold.”
