In Dust We Trust: Unforgettable Night With Sevendust in Atlantic City

Sevendust brought an unforgettable night of heavy, heartfelt music to Atlantic City’s Tropicana Showroom on their “In Dust We Trust” headlining tour. Despite the demanding schedule of also supporting Disturbed on “The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour,” the band showed no signs of fatigue, delivering an energetic and passionate performance that left the crowd roaring.

The atmosphere was electric as Sevendust took the stage, diving into fan-favorite tracks like “Enemy” and “Angel’s Son.” The energy in the room was palpable, with the Atlantic City crowd proving once again just how much they love this band. Every chord, drumbeat, and lyric echoed through the room, uniting fans in a powerful display of musical camaraderie. Even though it was a seated venue the crowd was on their feet closer to the stage, with hands up in the air and Lajon Witherspoon was interacting up-close with every single person in the audience, shaking their hands while singing together!

One of the night’s most emotional moments came when the band performed “Seasons,” dedicating it to the late Drowning Pool vocalist Dave Williams and frontman Lajon Witherspoon’s brother, Reginald. The raw emotion in Witherspoon’s voice resonated deeply with the audience, creating a moment of reflection and remembrance that was both heartbreaking and beautiful.

Even with their packed schedule, Sevendust remains creatively driven. While on the road, the band has been hard at work writing new material, already crafting around 20 song ideas for their upcoming album since kicking off the tour with Disturbed in Nampa, Idaho, on February 25. It’s clear that the passion driving Sevendust hasn’t waned over their decades-long career.

The band’s original lineup — Lajon Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, John Connolly, Vince Hornsby, and Morgan Rose — continues to prove why they are a staple in the metal scene. Their undeniable chemistry and dedication to their fans shine through in every performance, and Atlantic City’s show was no exception. Sevendust once again showed why, after all these years, they still command such a loyal following: because in dust, we trust.
