I GOT SO EMOTIONAL: CALUM SCOTT’S AVENOIR 2026 TOUR

From the moment I first saw Calum Scott perform on Britain’s Got Talent, I knew I had to see him live! When I heard he was going to be in Los Angeles at the historic Wiltern Theatre, I jumped at the chance to be in attendance. This was my first time visiting the art deco inspired Wiltern Theatre. This venue set the tone and did not disappoint. This was the perfect place for Calum’s LA show.

Calum opened the night with the title track from his new album Avenoir with vocals on a whole other level. He sang many new songs from the album, like the upbeat “Roots,” “At Your Worst,” “Gone,” and “Mad.” One of the highlights of the night was his slow tempo duet with Whitney Houston (vocals only of course) of her classic hit “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who loves Me).” He took me on an emotional roller coaster, and I loved it! He sang a few of my all time favorites like “Die for You,” the inspirational “Rise,” and the hit “You are the Reason” I was floored! Calum sang a total of 19 songs with 2 encores.

I will say it now, this has got to be one of my favorite concerts ever! Calum brought out emotions of happiness and sadness that I never knew existed. He closed the show with the song that brought him to stardom, “Dancing On My Own.” It was the song we all were waiting for. It was, however, difficult to shoot the show at times because my tear-filled eyes couldn’t see through my camera viewer. With a down to earth personality and striking vocals, I’ll never miss a Calum Scott show when he comes to town!
