The I Can’t Hear You Tour has a lineup that just hits right and is totally a dream concert for most of the emo kids and elders out there. Pierce The Veil with Sleeping With Sirens and additional support from Beach Weather, it just makes perfect sense. That’s why they just sold out The Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater on June 15th in Phoenix, Arizona.

Despite still having daylight and 110 degrees in metro Phoenix, the evening kicked off with Beach Weather, who have a very laid-back indie pop-rock sound that provided a very warm contrast to the angsty and fiery sets that the crowd was there for. Their frontman, Nick Santino, effortlessly worked the stage and prepped the audience, guiding them through their dreamy hit tracks like “Sex, Drugs, Etc.” and “Unlovable.”

The amphitheater’s temperature seemed to rise along with the crowd’s volume as Sleeping With Sirens came in. Kellin Quinn, the band’s frontman, brought his signature high-pitched vocals to the Arizona crowd, and we’ve never heard an opener garner screams from fans like that before. Their set leaned heavily on nostalgic anthems like “If You Can’t Hang” and “Kick Me,” but also featured material from their recent album, keeping longtime fans satisfied while introducing newer tracks. The band members had energy for days.

Before Pierce The Veil played their first song, even before the curtain dropped, we heard the loudest emo crowd in Phoenix that couldn’t wait for them to appear in front of their eyes. Vic Fuentes and company wasted no time diving into hits like “Emergency Contact,” “Bulls in the Bronx,” and newer standout “Pass The Nirvana.” The band was right away tight, aggressive, and emotional, mixed with their crazy energetic and playful performance as always.

The setlist balanced fan favorites and an acoustic set in the middle of their show, playing “Today I Saw The World.” One of the highlights of the night was when Vic brought his iconic megaphone after they ended their acoustic performance, which definitely hyped the crowd back up. Obviously, they ended the show with a bang when they brought Kellin back on stage to sing “King For A Day,” which is the perfect way to conclude the night.

All their emo fans have been yearning for this, this wasn’t just a concert to them but a dream come true to see both Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens on the same stage and perform that one song that they’ve been listening to throughout the years, and the bands finally delivered.
