Kenneth La’ron, better known as KennyHoopla, who was born in Cleveland and raised in Wisconsin — joined forces with the great pop-punk duo girlfriends for an amazing show at The Grand Social in Dublin, Ireland on the 12th of December 2025 for the Conditions Of An Orphan Tour.

The girlfriends duo consists of Travis Mills and Nick Gross — who also is a member of Goldfinger. Together, they really got the crowd warmed up and going opening with tracks like “Shut Up And Kiss Me” as well as “Over My Dead Body.” Indeed, the energy in the venue was as high as could be; with a lot of singing along, jumping around, mosh pits, and plenty of interactions between the singer and the fans. Travis incited the crowd to shout “Fuck you, Brittany!” (one of his exes) as loud as possible before singing their song, “Jessica.” Travis later invited a lucky fan named Steve on stage to sing with him, who was treated like a superstar by everyone in the crowd. They closed out with their mega-hit “California” and set the stakes high for Kenny.

As the crowd was getting excited for Kenny to come onstage, the crowd started cheering his name. The man himself made his apparition, causing fans to lose their minds even before he could say a word. We could only imagine the energy of the crowd once he started to play. The setlist mostly consisted of titles from his new album conditions of an orphan// with: “too many jocks turned rockstar//,” “monalisa we miss you//,” “charity//,” “orphan//,” and “naysayers//.” In an unexpected plot twist, he did not follow his own setlist — deciding to play songs that were not initially planned, such as “how will i rest in peace if i’m buried by a highway?//” and “hollywood sucks//.”

As if the venue was not shaking hard enough already during girlfriends’ set, it was even stronger and louder with Kenny performing. Nearly the entire crowd was jumping around the whole time. The mosh pits hardly ever stopped, and everyone was dancing and truly just enjoying themselves. He decided to join the crowd with his mic and sang his song while enjoying an up close experience with his fans. He also dove in for some epic crowd surfing, letting us know that he did not want the night to end either.

Both KennyHoopla and girlfriends are artists that I would recommend to go see live if you have the opportunity. Their energy together cannot be matched — it’s an experience. There are a few dates remaining for this UK tour. It will come to an end late December (the 19th) in Bristol, with a sold out show. However, there are still tickets remaining for the London show on December 17th!
