Christian Robert Felner, better known to fans as Felly, brought his unique blend of hip-hop–infused indie rock to Atlanta and turned Terminal West on its head. Growing up in Trumbull, Connecticut, Felly began releasing music in 2013 while still in high school at Fairfield College Prep. He made a name for himself early in the hip-hop scene, producing beats and cultivating a sound that reflected his deep appreciation for rhythm and lyricism. His latest album, Ambroxyde, marks a bold shift in direction leaning further into the indie rock influences that inspired him as a kid while maintaining the lyrical flow and stylistic confidence that have defined his artistry.

One of the best parts about being a music photographer and writer is the opportunity to not only experience live music regularly but also to discover artists I might not have otherwise encountered. Felly was one of those artists for me, and after this show, you can count me in as a full-fledged fan. His performance at Terminal West in Atlanta was on overdrive from the start—he took the stage full of infectious energy, instantly setting the vibe that we were in for a night of great music and genuine connection in the intimate venue. His set moved seamlessly between raw, guitar-driven rock and hard-hitting hip-hop beats, creating an atmosphere that felt both electric and deeply personal. Fans were jumping, singing the lyrics in unison, and creating a party-like energy that filled the room from start to finish.

What stood out most was that Felly wasn’t just performing, he was sharing a part of himself. You could feel the sincerity in his delivery, the connection he built with the crowd, and the joy he took in every note played and every lyric sung. The night felt like more than just a concert or a performance; it was a journey through the sounds and stories that shaped his life. As the show came to an unfortunate close, there was a collective sense that we had witnessed an artist fully embracing his evolution one who continues to blur the lines between genres while staying true to his roots. Atlanta won’t soon forget this performance, and neither will I.
