Falling In Reverse Give Us a Fiery Finale on Their Last Popular MonsTOUR II Stop in LA

Falling in Reverse lit up The Kia Forum in LA last week (literally) — believe me when I say it was an absolute spectacle. Packed with high-energy performances and impressive production, each set during this show was visually and audibly pleasing. Opening acts Tech N9ne, Dance Gavin Dance, and Black Veil Brides all hyped the crowd, each bringing their own unique flavor. Tech N9ne’s intense rap delivery revved up an early crowd, while Dance Gavin Dance’s screamo and hardcore sounds filled the arena with infectious energy. Frontman Andrew Wells wore a shimmering suit, letting us know from the moment they walked onstage that they were ready for a good time.

Black Veil Brides’ notorious goth meets glam performance brought a dramatic and powerful flair. Emerging on stage to Dracula’s organ, we knew what to expect from the start. Frontman Andy Black led the pack with members CC, Lonny, Jinxx and Jake delivering the shreds and beats for a seamless live show. The combination of Andy’s entrancingly deep vocals with the intricate layers of bass, guitar and even keys sounded near-perfect even in a live setting, with CC’s drumming anchoring their flawless sound.

When Falling in Reverse took the stage, it was clear who the crowd had come to see. The headlining set was an audiovisual masterpiece, featuring extensive pyro with huge bursts of fire, and intricate lighting that dazzled both sides of the stage. The massive LED screen added to the immersive experience, showcasing a mix of media that complemented every track. The band kicked off with “Prequel,” followed by crowd-favorites like “Zombified” and “Popular Monster” amongst the majority of other songs from Popular Monster.

Frontman Ronnie Radke was brimming with confidence and bold charisma as usual. The crowd’s enthusiasm only intensified during hits like “Losing My Mind,” “The Drug in Me Is You,” and “Ronald” as the entire venue screamed along. Instrumentally, the band sounded amazing live. This was my first time seeing them play live, and I was unsure of how their recorded sound would translate in a live setting. I already knew the production would be insane, but the in-person sound was the icing on the cake. Falling in Reverse’s blend of rock, metal, rap and electronic elements translated into a live experience that felt larger than life, showcasing their impressive musical performance and proving their dedication to their fanbase in return. While the tour has wrapped, you can check them out at We Missed Ourselves Fest the first weekend in October and Aftershock Fest the second weekend in October.
