De’Wayne Puts A Spell On Seattle During The All American Freak Show Tour

Charisma, connection, confidence, and a groove that had everyone there captivated, lost in every guitar riff and dance beat, hanging on every note.

Usually, one might read that opening line and assume it’s dedicated to an arena-rock headliner with songs on the radio that everyone and their mother knows… but it’s not. On October 2nd, De’Wayne took the stage at The Crocodile in Seattle’s musically historic Belltown neighborhood as direct support for Duckwrth’s All American Freakshow Tour. And if you walked into that room mid-set, you would’ve easily believed the crowd, the night, the city, and the future of rock ’n’ roll were all his for the taking.

De’Wayne’s genre-bending, rock-rebel stage presence, dance-funk rhythm, and unfiltered emotion in his vocal delivery swept the entire crowd into a frenzy. Performing songs like “Highway Robbery”, an ecstasy-drenched love letter full of massive guitar riffs and driving bass, De’Wayne sauntered across the stage and danced around the mic stand, all rhythm and revelation, chasing some invisible note only he could hear.

The full-throttle, no-stops set also included the title track of his latest album, June, a rock ’n’ roll confessional with guitar tones and melodic swagger that had everyone in the room thinking they might just be witnessing the rise of this generation’s rock-funk-alt/pop master of all trades, closest akin to Prince or Lenny Kravitz.

But the set didn’t stop there. The Houston-born singer and his two-piece band took another genre-bending turn mid-set, flawlessly covering the iconic punk anthem “I Wanna Be Your Dog,” originally by Iggy Pop and The Stooges.

From the second he stepped onto the stage to the final crescendo and cheer, De’Wayne proved he’s not only here to stay—he’s rewriting and shattering every rule of genre conformity, doing it all while beaming with authenticity and originality.De’Wayne will be on the road with Machine Gun Kelly on the Lost Americana Tour in the spring of 2026.
