Dayseeker took over the House of Blues in Anaheim for their second annual holiday show — and completely sold it out!
Rain City Drive opened up the night to get everyone hyped for Dayseeker and they did exactly that! Rain City Drive put on an insane performance that had the crowd loving every second. This was my first time seeing Rain City Drive live, but I’ve been a fan for a while now. It lived up to what I imagined — honestly, it surpassed all expectations! They performed some of their hit songs like “Talk To A Friend,” “Blood Runs Cold,” along with their collaboration “Medicate Me” with Dayseeker’s own Rory Rodriguez who came out on stage to perform with them!
As the lights dimmed and the music started playing, the crowd erupted as it was clear who they were here to see. Dayseeker took the stage one band member at a time and fully captivated the crowd with their stage presence, in a way that I’ve never seen before. Opening with their song, “Dreamstate,” with impressive visuals behind lead singer Rory Rodriguez.
Dayseeker knew their audience and very well at that, they put on an unreal performance that had every single person in attendance, even the security enjoying the night and not wanting it to end. This holiday show was completely sold out and I mean, truly at full capacity. They performed their album Dark Sun in full for the evening and ended the night with their hit song and my personal favorite “Sleeptalk.” As the night ended, myself and the crowd was sad to see it over but grateful to have gotten to witness such an intimate and energy packed night.
