Charlotte de Witte Ushers in Summer with an Epic NYC Takeover

Charlotte de Witte kicked off the unofficial start of summer in New York City, as she wrapped up an epic six set run over four days to celebrate the release of her new single “No Division.” de Witte, the Belgian DJ and producer best known for her stripped-back brand of techno, performed at various venues across New York City, including The Great Hall at Avant Gardner and The Ruins at Knockdown Center on Saturday, May 24th. Much to the delight of her fans, she held an impromptu street takeover on the Williamsburg Bridge on Friday, May 23rd, just hours before headlining another set at 99 Scott Studios in Brooklyn.

Supported by local Brooklyn producers and DJs Katie Rex and Ramsey Neville, de Witte played to a packed crowd at 99 Scott Studios, where we were able to capture her set. Prior to this headlining set, de Witte expressed her excitement via social media to be back in New York City to “reconnect and dance” with her fans, and promised this Memorial Day Weekend would include “different sets in different settings, ranging from small and intimate to big and uncompromising.” de Witte also expressed excitement over the release of “No Division,” expressing it to be a reflection of her upcoming album, stating “like the others, it reflects a part of who I am. This track is both a call and a celebration. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when we lose ourselves in the music and come together on the same frequency. It reminds us that we are one.”
