Norwegian DJ and record producer Alan Walker brought his Walkerworld – The Last Ride to SummerStage in New York’s Central Park on Saturday, May 31st. The evening marked the final show of his two-year-long Walkerworld Tour, which has brought over half a million fans to see the EDM superstar perform hit after hit on stages across North America, Europe, and Asia.
With support from local New York songwriter and music producer Joshua Espinosa, and producer and DJ duo Takes Two, Walker took the stage to perform a stacked set, inclusive of his breakout hit “Faded” which has surpassed 3.8 billion views, placing it among the top 20 most streamed music videos of all time. Also included in his set were the likes of “The Spectre,” “All Falls Down,” and “Alone,” as well as additional appearances by singers and collaborators Robin Packalen and Anne Gudrun.
Supported by a spectacular laser show and powerful visuals to match, Walker’s performance transformed SummerStage into an immersive full-scale cinematic experience. His performance was a true celebration of the power of unity his music has over his fans, who were dancing, singing, clapping, and cheering for Walker throughout the entirety of his two-hour set – a fitting send-off for an epic night and even more epic tour.
