Sing Us Home Festival is set to return for its third and biggest year yet, celebrating the vibrant spirit of Philadelphia’s music scene. Organized by folk-rock singer-songwriter Dave Hause, the festival has quickly gained recognition for showcasing the city’s inspiring musical landscape. Taking place over three days, from May 2nd to May 4th, the festival will be held at Venice Island in Manayunk on the grounds of the Performing Arts Center.
This year’s lineup boasts a variety of impressive acts, including New Jersey punk rockers The Bouncing Souls, UK folk artist Frank Turner, and of course, Dave Hause & The Mermaid. Like past years, the festival will kick off with the Hause Family Campfire, featuring Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio, an AJJ solo set with Sean Bonnette, and an acoustic performance by Dave Hause. Other notable acts throughout the festival include Buzz Zeemer, Tim Hause, and Speedy Ortiz. There will also be performances by actor/singer-songwriter John Gallagher Jr., soulful artist Mobley, and Appalachian folk-punk artist Black Guy Fawkes. The rest of the lineup consists of Quarry, Lullanas, Mary’s Morning Deathbed, and Ocean Avenue Stompers. Plus music isn’t the only thing attendees have to look forward to—there will be plenty of local Philly cuisines along with craft beer selections to enjoy!
Of course, the fun doesn’t end with the festival’s main events. On Sunday, May 4th, the official afterparty kicks off at 8PM with a solo performance by none other than headliner Frank Turner. The show will be held at Ardmore Music Hall, a mere 15 minutes from the festival grounds, and will treat fans to a special show as Turner is set to perform his 2008 album Love Ire & Song in its entirety. Exclusive access to Frank Turner’s afterparty set is only available to festival ticket holders.
