Bright Eyes had yet another sold out show on their 2025 North American tour featuring Christopher Owens, beloved frontman of the indie legends Girls. These two household names are out to prove their perseverance and did not hold back. It’s no secret that Bright Eyes has had its dark times, but the band’s frontman singer/songwriter/guitarist Conor Oberst is better than ever on this winter’s greatest tour.

Christopher Owens’ set was simple, wholesome, and direct from his heart which exuded in his corresponding set. He wore an acoustic guitar while he stood behind one mic adorned with a gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers on the stand. A unique element I personally haven’t seen in a long time, his harmonica adhered to a stand around his collarbones that he wore to highlight his dreamy music with the bluesy pastime instrument. The audience tuned in for raw, stripped back versions of indie classics like “I Think About Heaven” and “Honey Bunny.”
The audience was dialed in and ready for more singalongs. Bright Eyes was up next .

The lights dimmed and the voice of Oberst’s ex-wife, Corina Figueroa Escamilla takes the speakers for a set in the way she appears on the song “Down in the Weeds.” The voice reminds us of what we are here for and the anticipation was really building now. Suddenly, the fog rolls in and so does the band as frontman Conor Oberst takes the stage alongside fellow core members Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott, both who played through an array of horns, keyboards and guitars throughout the set. Touring members Alex Levine (bass) and Mimi La Lupa (flugelhorn/keyboard) came shortly after and wasted no time in getting the music going. The audience wasted no time on having flashlight waving moments to top off their laid-back indie vibe. Other fan favorites the band effortlessly executed included “Reel Feel 105” and to everyone’s delight “Gold Mine Gutted.”

The two acts this evening wasted no time in getting us straight to the soulful point. The audience was enamored with the ability for both of these acts to really connect with the audience at a sold out show. That’s not something you see often! You won’t want to miss this incredible tour as it continues through all of North America now through April to 27 ending in Omaha, Nebraska. Grab your tickets before they sell out, because they will!
