On January 18, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio Beartooth came home to host a hometown one off show for their first ever big arena show at The Schott. The band brought along Boundaries, Dayseeker & Sleep Theory as support acts.

I’ve always been a fan of Beartooth and have had the opportunity to see them a few times, but this time felt different. In the first few seconds of the show, there was a countdown to Caleb Shomo emerging onstage — we were met with a room full of confetti in the matter of seconds as the band kicked off with their song “The Surface.” Visually this band can always win, their production is always so eye-catching and immersive — making it easy to lock into their set wholeheartedly.

With fireworks, pyrotechnics, cryotechnics, and pure energy from all band members, Beartooth shows hit so different. Hometown shows in general are probably the best kind to ever see… especially with a band of their size making their first arena debut. The energy from the fans singing along and crowd surfing fueled Caleb’s fire, quite literally. On top of their pyrotechnics, Shomo brought out a flamethrower. Of course, a Beartooth show wouldn’t be complete without Caleb Shomo jumping into the middle of the crowd and singing “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. He exclaimed that being from Columbus himself, he has been to The Schott many times to attend shows. He mentioned his first show was at 5 years old — and now in 2025, he is headlining the arena with Beartooth.

The band wrapped the night with an encore featuring “Sunshine!” before going out with bang to “In Between.” This night was a big moment for not only Beartooth but their hometown fans, friends and family. To watch this amazing show happen and the growth the band has gained throughout the years it was truly so special.
