UK’s hottest alt-rock duo Nova Twins is back! Today they’ve unleashed the electrifying new single “Monsters” (LISTEN HERE | WATCH HERE) which premiered yesterday as the “Hottest Record in the World” on BBC Radio 1 with Jack Saunders. Blending raw intensity with boundary-pushing creativity “Monsters” showcases the band’s fearless artistry. Recorded with renowned producer Rich Costey (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Sam Fender, Muse), “Monsters” emerges as a future anthem for a jilted generation.
The band’s Amy Love and Georgia South explain the message behind the song: “’Monsters’ is about awakening to and understanding your mental health. Growing up, we often look outward, absorbing what life throws at us. Over time, the good and bad experiences start to settle. Before learning to navigate these feelings, you may face self-loathing, anxiety and a fear of who you’ve become. Confronting these emotions, breathing through them, and opening up to someone can help. Many people struggle with mental health, and this song aims to show vulnerability and let our audience know they’re not alone.” The music video, shot with acclaimed director and long-time Nova Twins collaborator Harry Lindley, highlights the band’s signature high-energy performance and musical artistry.

Over the last few years, Nova Twins have cemented themselves as one of the most dynamic forces in contemporary music. Since bursting out of the independent UK scene, the Mercury Music Prize and two-time BRIT Award nominees have rewritten the rulebook of what a modern rock band can achieve. They’ve dominated iconic festivals from UK’s Glastonbury to Japan’s Summer Sonic, shared stages with legends like Foo Fighters, Muse, and Bring Me The Horizon, and drawn praise from global icons like Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, who calls them “an incredible band,” and Elton John, who describes them as “phenomenal.”
The duo’s acclaim spans both their music and their cultural impact. They’ve graced the covers of Kerrang!, NME, Alternative Press, Rock Sound (and more), and won prestigious awards at the Music Week Women in Music Awards, AIM Awards, Kerrang! Awards, and the Nordoff & Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards. In 2022, their Mercury Music Prize nomination marked a historic milestone as the first Black rock band to be shortlisted, a transformative moment for Nova Twins and the wider music industry.
Nova Twins’ impact extends beyond their music. Their Voices For The Unheard initiative amplifies underrepresented artists in the alternative sphere while supporting vital causes like The Black Curriculum. They also spearheaded the introduction of the Alternative category at the MOBO Awards in 2022 and established a Creative Musicianship Scholarship at ICMP to champion future generations of diverse talent. With “Monsters”, Nova Twins continue their meteoric rise, inviting fans to embark on a bold new chapter.
