Pop Rockers Senses Stop Through Chicago

The pop-rock trio Senses made their way back through Chicago’s Subterranean music venue this past week. The band is currently on tour with famous TikTok’er turned musical artist Bailey Spinn on her Happy Ending Tour. The trio is fronted by singer Madison Taylor, drummer Nick Sampson and guitarist Jordan Keigher. Having been the third time seeing Senses, opening for Leah Kate and Charlotte Sands, they surely did not disappoint with arguably bringing in the biggest crowd of the night.

The self proclaimed “emo conscious, pop-rock” band was the second act of the night but judging from the crowd size you could have thought they were the headliner. Madison even made reference to the last time the band was in Chicago, when she was quite ill and had thought about canceling the show but ultimately powered through it.

The trio played one of their most popular hits, “Sleepwalking.” “Sleepwalking” has been making its rounds on TikTok and Spotify and currently sits at three million streams. It’s upbeat hopeful melody is one of their catchiest songs with its relatable content of wanting to break free from routines. Madison powerful yet elegant voice is extremely enjoyable to listen to in so many settings. One of their most popular and newer hits, currently sitting at about 1.5 million streams on Spotify, is a cover of Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck Babe.” The trio does a phenomenal job taking the pop song and adding a grungy punk rock tone to the already amazing hit. Madison does an amazing job putting in a powerful, passionate performance that easily gets the crowd invested into the performance.

Bailey Spinn (Connor Hannan)

Bailey Spinn the took the stage to finish off the night. While she’s largely known for her p.o.v. videos that gained much popularity on Youtube, TikTok and Instagram, the young performer is currently trying to rebrand herself and crack into the music industry. The young singer puts on a great performance with good crowd interaction and brings out a group of passionate followers.
