Dasha brought her first headlining tour Dashville, USA to the historic El Rey Theatre for a night to remember!
Tonight was my first time seeing Dasha live — I discovered her from her hit song “Austin,” which has taken social media by storm and has everyone dancing and singing along. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but her show surpassed every expectation that I had. It definitely was a unique night — she had “Breakin’ Boots” out to teach the crowd how to line dance and get them amped up for her set.
The lights dimmed, the crowd erupted as Dasha took the stage, opening her energy filled set with “What Happens Now.” Dasha instantly set the tone for the night, letting everyone get an idea of what was to come. Given that this is Dasha’s first headlining tour, I was impressed with the stage visuals and her overall stage presence. You could tell that she put a lot of work into making sure her shows were a night to remember. She utilized every inch of the stage and made sure to take time and interact with the crowd, which had a ton of kids. Watching them sing their hearts out along with her was one of the most heartwarming moments I have witnessed as a concert photographer/journalist.
Dasha closed out the night with her hit song “Austin” and I’ve never seen anything like it — she had every single person in the venue singing along and doing the viral dance! I truly couldn’t find one person that wasn’t singing or dancing along. Dasha is definitely making a name for herself in country music… not just with her songs, but with her performance and character. Truly one of the most down to earth and genuine artists!
