Staind and Breaking Benjamin brought their co-headlining tour to the Honda Center on Sunday, October 13th and captivated the entire audience with an insane energy filled night!
Kicking off the night was Daughtry, as they took the stage you could tell that fans were eager to see their set! Daughtry had an action-packed performance with great stage presence, performing songs like “The Reckoning”, “Over You”, “It’s Not Over”, and more! Fans were loving every minute of it and singing along to every song. Daughtry really knew how to get the crowd amped up and ready for Staind to take the stage!
As the lights dimmed and Staind prepared to take the stage, emotions were heightened and fans were going crazy, two fans in particular started crying while holding a sign saying “Staind, your music saved my life”. Aaron Lewis, the lead singer of Staind, opened up the set with “Lowest in Me”, which had the crowd fully immersed and singing every word at the top of their lungs. As a kid, I grew up on Staind, but this was my first time seeing them live and it’s safe to say, they did not disappoint at all! The energy, stage presence, visuals, atmosphere, all of it was something special and a night I will never forget.
The lights went dark and that’s when fans knew that the show was coming to an end with Breaking Benjamin taking the stage to close out the night. As the curtain dropped, Breaking Bejamin took the stage with a special guest accompanying them, lead singer Benjamin Burnley’s son! His son joined him on stage for several songs playing the guitar and singing along with his dad. The kid had a great stage presence to be only ten years old, really taking after his dad! The band played hit songs like “The Diary of Jane,” “Had Enough,” “I Will Not Bow,” and more.
Growing up, my mom loved Breaking Benjamin and listened to them all the time, and still does to this day! Which means I grew up on them, so I was really excited to see them live and get the chance to photograph their set, having that full circle moment was a cool experience that I’ll never forget. If you get the chance to see this amazing co-headlining tour, do it! I promise you won’t regret it, as it’s a show that will have you leaving with no voice from singing along and with memories you’ll never forget!
