The highly anticipated wait is finally over for Linkin Park’s latest announcement. The band is welcoming two new members: Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara, who will serve as co-vocalist, and Colin Brittain, known for his work with artists like G Flip, Illenium, and One OK Rock, who will be joining as the drummer.
In a press release, Mike Shinoda spoke about this new chapter for the band, seven years after the passing of their lead vocalist, Chester Bennington: “As we collaborated more with Emily and Colin, we grew to appreciate not only their exceptional talent but also their personalities and the creative work we accomplished together. This new lineup has given us a sense of strength and inspiration, and we’re excited about the fresh, dynamic music we’ve crafted. We’re blending the familiar sounds that fans know and love with new elements we’re exploring.”
The band’s new album, From Zero, is set to release on November 15. The first single, “The Emptiness Machine,” is available for streaming now.
For those already feeling comforted by the idea of a reinvigorated Linkin Park, brace yourselves for more excitement — the band is hitting the road next week for a few select dates around the world. What’s next for Linkin Park? We’re not sure, but we’re thrilled for this new chapter.
