FLOW roared into Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona, for their Naruto the Rock World Tour last December 7th. It was a celebration of the band’s nostalgic discography throughout the years and a treat for long-time fans that followed their journey and grew up listening to their favorite soundtracks.

With no further delay, FLOW started right away and took to the stage as they were welcomed with loud cheers by fans wearing costumes. There were no openers to the show, so it was a short but delightful night for everyone in attendance. The setlist was a well-thought-out blend of familiar anthems like “GO!!!” and “Sign,” to name a few. They also performed some covers like “Silhouette” from KANA-BOON and “Blue Bird” from Ikimonogakari that were also featured in their FLOW THE COVER album, which both leaned towards pure nostalgia and the unwavering energy of the band.

The band apologized to the fans as to why their bass player couldn’t make it. They further explained that GOT’S, their bassist, just had surgery and is currently recovering from it. Despite missing one member, that didn’t stop them from delivering the best performance and giving the fans what they deserve.
One of the highlights of the show was IWASAKI’s drum solo after the 11th song. TAKE, the band’s guitarist, came out in the middle of it and showed everyone his moves while rocking Christmas lights all over his body and light sticks in both hands. He showed the crowd how it’s done and taught them dance steps to perform together. Everyone was down to do it with Take, which made the night more memorable.

What stood out most was the band’s explosive energy all throughout the night. Each member played with relentless intensity while feeding off the crowd’s enthusiasm as voices blended across the theater. Their interaction with the audience, from call-and-response chants to expressive stage movements and their non-stop jumping in the air, turned the show into a shared experience rather than a one-sided performance. Fans were dancing, waving lightsticks, and fully immersed from start to finish, making this one of the most engaging live shows ever this year.

Though the Phoenix setlist included covers and themes from popular Japanese soundtracks, it also showcased the band’s ability to deliver rock with so much flair. This show served as a reminder that FLOW’s talent extends beyond any single series. Whether it was the anthemic opening themes or the relentless energy flowing through every band member, fans for sure were left with so many happy memories from that night.
