On the road before their appearance at Rockville in Daytona Beach, Jimmy Eat World played The Senate in Columbia, SC, a warehouse style venue. The opener, Timmy Skelly, former American Idol contestant, admitted it was his first time playing in South Carolina. Starting the show with his indie rock/folk flair, the crowd danced and fans sang along to his songs.

Jimmy Eat World took the stage with their song “Pain” then straight into “Just Tonight,” and their mega hit “Sweetness.” The sold out venue was filled with mostly millennials with a few bringing their own kids to the show. The middle of the set was filled with hits from their 2004 album, Futures, including hits like “23,” “Work,” and “Nothing Wrong.” The 20 song set took fans on a ride through the bands over 30 year catalog.

The band ended the show with hits including “Bleed American” and “The Middle,” before coming back out for an encore with “The World You Love.” Jimmy Eat World continues touring overseas throughout the month of June before coming back to the U.S. in July. They start their Supercharged tour with The Offspring and New Found Glory in July through September.
